About the Role
Position Overview
The Account Director is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Life Line Housing, ensuring transparency, accountability, and wise stewardship of resources. This role supports the Executive Director and Board of Directors by managing budgets, preparing reports, tracking donations and grants, and maintaining compliance with nonprofit financial standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, attention to detail, and a heart for serving others through faithful financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee annual budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director.
Maintain accurate financial records for all accounts, including donations, grants, and program expenses.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal use and board review.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and nonprofit financial reporting requirements.
Manage bookkeeping functions such as accounts payable, receivable, and payroll coordination.
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and restricted funds.
Work with auditors, grant managers, and fundraising teams to ensure fiscal accountability.
Provide financial forecasts, assist with grant budgets, and advise on cost-saving strategies.
Uphold the mission and values of Life Line Housing through ethical financial practices.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or nonprofit financial management.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, or equivalent).
Strong organizational and analytical skills with close attention to detail.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial team members.
Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and alignment with Christian values.
Must pass a background check.

Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, or similar roles (especially in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations).
Strong knowledge of financial statements, forecasting and regulatory requirements.
Excellent decision-making, analytical skills, and ability to coordinate across departments.
Leadership capability to direct financial operations and work with senior management.
