About the Role
Life Line Housing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Residential Advisor to help create a safe, supportive, and structured living environment for our residents. This position assists with daily operations, provides mentorship, and ensures that all residents receive guidance and encouragement as they work toward recovery and independence.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in residential care, social services, or recovery support. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in human services or related field is preferred. Above all, the Residential Advisor must demonstrate integrity, empathy, and a heart for serving others in alignment with Life Line Housing’s mission.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge:
Customer and Personal Service — understanding principles for providing support, assessing resident needs, meeting quality standards and ensuring satisfaction.
Public Safety and Security — awareness of relevant policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure resident safety and facility security.
Administration and Management — basic understanding of house-management procedures, record-keeping, scheduling and resource coordination.
Active Listening — giving full attention to residents, asking clarifying questions, and understanding concerns.
Speaking — communicating effectively to residents, team members, and stakeholders.
Critical Thinking — identifying problems or conflicts, reasoning through options and implementing solutions.
Monitoring — keeping track of resident progress, facility environment, and operational compliance.
Abilities:
Oral Comprehension & Oral Expression — understanding spoken information and clearly conveying messages.
Problem Sensitivity — recognizing when something is wrong or likely to go wrong and taking appropriate action.
Other Requirements
Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills with a compassionate, resident-focused mindset.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, act with integrity, and uphold the mission and values of Life Line Housing.
Willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, or on-call rotations) and engage in outreach or community building activities with residents.
Proficiency with basic office tools (email, word-processing, spreadsheets) and willingness to learn housing-specific systems or tools.
Must pass a background check and complete any required training (resident safety, health & sanitation, housing operations).
