A Seat at the Table: Mental Health Roundtable Experience

Recently, my board president, Grace, and I had the opportunity to attend a mental health roundtable, and it was truly one of the most impactful experiences we’ve been part of so far in this journey. Being in a room with professionals, leaders, and organizations who are all working in different areas of mental health, recovery, and community support was incredibly eye-opening. It gave us the chance to listen, learn, and better understand the gaps that still exist especially when it comes to individuals who are trying to rebuild their lives after addiction or crisis.

What stood out the most was how many people are working hard to help… but how often housing is still the missing piece.

That reminder confirmed even more that Life Line Housing is not just a good idea it is a necessary one.

This roundtable also allowed us to begin building relationships with others who share the same heart for this work. These connections matter. Collaboration matters. No one organization can do this alone, and being part of that conversation showed us that we are stepping into something much bigger than ourselves.

For both Grace and I, it was not just informative it was encouraging.

It reminded us:

  • Why we started

  • Who we are serving

  • And how important it is to keep moving forward

We left with new insight, new connections, and a deeper understanding of how Life Line Housing can fit into the larger network of support in our community.

Moments like this are shaping not just our vision but how we carry it out.

👉 Call to Action: Pray for continued wisdom, strong partnerships, and open doors as Life Line Housing grows and becomes part of the solution in our community.
