Property Opportunity

Recently, we had the opportunity to visit a facility in Timpson that was previously used as a nursing home.
Walking through that space was both exciting and eye-opening.
At first glance, it seemed like it could be a great fit. The structure was already there multiple rooms, shared spaces, and a layout that could support a community environment. I could easily picture what it might look like filled with life again people healing, growing, and rebuilding.
But as we walked through more carefully, I began to see some challenges as well.
There were concerns about the amount of work it would take to bring the building up to the standard needed for our program. Location also plays a big role, and being further outside of Nacogdoches could make access to jobs, services, and community partnerships more difficult for participants.
Even though it may not be the right fit, the visit was incredibly valuable.
It helped clarify what we truly need:
A safe and functional layout
Accessibility to community resources
A space that supports both structure and connection
Every visit like this brings us one step closer to the right place.
